Hen Nests and Eggs eaten

This past week I have seen a lot of turkey sign, but I have found 5 different turkey eggs busted open in separate locations. I found plenty of bobcat and coyote tracks in the area too.

Is it mostly coyotes and bobcats eating the eggs or do foxes and racoons get into the nests also?

Do many people see a lot of eggs broken up like this during May?

If the entire nest was gone, I would think that would really affect the amount of birds hatching for next year.

Possums and coons probably do more nest damage to eggs than any other predators.

Almost every critter in the woods will destroy them and the ones that want are trying to eat them til they get old enough to fly

Yeah I saw a hen the other day clucking and purring, but she was very quiet. She didn't have any poults with her, but I thought she may be quiet because of all the predators.
