What event is Jesus speaking of?

no the Bride of Christ are believers, given a new Jerusalem, adorned as fine as a bride.

I think were are referred to as the bride before Heaven and the wife after

Would you say that instead of the Church(believers) becoming Jerusalem, they are given a new Jerusalem?
Is this what Romans 11 says? That the grafting in is more of a the bride receiving a new Jerusalem or how do we tie Romans 11 with the believers receiving a new Jerusalem?

Jesus was referring to His body, they thought was the Temple

Then the Ark that saved Noah was really Jesus. They just thought it was a big wooden ship.

What I'm getting at is when or how do we separate the mirrors, types, examples, and shadows from the actual events from the events they represent?

actually the Bride is the kingdom New Jerusalem... Christians are the citizens of the Bride, just as Jews were citizens of Jerusalem

Revelation 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
