We will be shooting this weekend and it looks like the weather will be great. We added a new range in preparation for the ASA State Championship tournament and this will be the first time shooting it. For all you guys and gals headed to Foley we set this course with y'all in mind. It definitely will challenge the person who judges and you known shooters will be challenged by its distances. The hunters, novice, and kids classes is not as tough.
This year we joined up with North Forty, Satilla River, and Rocky Creek to form the Southeast Shootout Circuit. If you haven't signed up for SOY you still have time to do that.
Also this year at Po Boy Archery you can win $500 by competing in our Sniper Long Shot. The way it works is at every tournament we have, except the ASA State Championship tournament, you can qualify by having your arrow be 1 of 3 closest to center. That means we take the 3 shooters who's arrow is closest to center and qualify them to shoot in the finale. The finale will be Sunday July 21st at our SOY tournament. This tournament will be open to all shooters also.
To determine the winner of the Sniper Long Shot we will be doing the dreaded IRON BUCK!!! we will start at 10yards and after each round all survivors will step back 10 yards until only one is left. You can qualify multiple times but only once per tournament. Let's say you qualified at 2 tournaments, the way that will work is if you break an arrow you'll get another shot but then if you break it you're out. They will be no paybacks after each tournament, all of the money collected goes to the pot. It's a 100% payback so if we collect more than $500 it gets added to the pot.
