Looking for a good place to do some bank fishing for brim near Macon (within 30-40 miles). Private ponds, small lakes, any help would be appreciated..

can't help you in macon. but lanier has them in the summer. We can catch a fish a minute in shallow water near shore. Kids love it.
I'm not an expert, but i'd venture a guess other lakes have tons of brim like lanier. ....and again, no expert, but I think summer is when you catch them in bulk. haven't had the same luck in winter.

We chum with some crackers to get them interested, then get tiny trout hooks with the gulp type fake little grubs. (hooks like size 18-22. Real small) Works like a million bucks.

Maybe some others will chime in on suggestions.

Good luck to you.

Ocmulgee PFA has pretty good bream fishing.

Thanks guys. Do both of the PFA’s have pretty good bank access???

Flat Creek does...but it gets pounded from all the people in Perry and Warner Robins.

Ocmulgee has some on the boat ramp side and dam as well as a fishing pier, and you could probably break trail to the other side of the lake, just be on the lookout for gators.
