Red dot on muzzle loader

Anyone ever put a red dot on a muzzle loader for closer shots? I'm not looking to shoot 150+, likely 100 and under

I have not put one on a muzzleloader but I have used one on a Turkey shotgun and also a Winchester 94 (Blasphemy, I know but 70 year old eyes don't do open sights well) and some handguns.
There is no reason it would not work fine. I shot a deer at 106 measured yards with a revolver and a red dot so 100 yards is not out of the question and it would be ideal for 50-60 yards.
I would stay with a smaller moa like 3 to keep the dot small at yardage.

A red dot will work fine for 100 yards & under. I had one on a 50 cal about 10-12 years ago & it shot really good.

Years ago in MS, they allowed inlines but you had to use iron sights. Then a couple/few years later they allowed red dots so everybody ran out and got one. A few years after that, they allowed regular scopes so everybody threw away the red dots and ran out and bought scopes.

So yeah, red dots work on muzzle loaders just fine for shots out to 100yds.
