Planting Corn and Milo for Dove Field

For our field this year, we are wanting to plant corn and milo. We are in the southern part of the Piedmont Region. Our field was planted in wheat as a cover crop, which has now been harrowed up. A few questions:

1. Any particular variety of corn and milo we should use?
2. Should we use a pre-emergent? If so, what kind?
3. Should we cultivate for weeds? Or spray? Or both? What kind of chemical can we spray for both corn and milo?

Thank you

You messed up by harrowing all of your wheat.

For corn I would go a "round up ready" variety

correct on wheat, I have about 7 acres that is full of seed. Best dove feed you can plant. Corn is about 4" tall. Need some warm night and gradual rain.
