REB 73: if you have bears in the area, I would suggest mounting the cameras in a bear safe metal box. Bears are very inquisitive and love messing with things. Several years back I had one camera buckle broken. The camera was set to video and fell face up. The strap stayed on the tree flapping in the wind. I got several videos of the bear swatting the strap. On another camera the bear broke the section off the camera where the straps go through. I was fortunate enough to find these pieces, glue them back on, then re-enforce them. Since, any cameras set up in bear territory are in metal boxes. If your camera was set to video with audio, the bear can make quite a noise rapping on the metal box.
