Been looking at these for while figured i would hold out for bugs and kinks to get worked out. Anyone having luck or anything positive to say about these cameras.

The text are kinda grainy but the pictures on the card are real good. Make sure you have good service from Tmobile or Att.

I had gone 3 months & probably 2000 pictures on Energizer lithium batteries. They were still showing 9 of 10 bars when I went to Kansas. The service was poor in my area & it was very cold. Those two conditions used those batteries up in a week. Get a go phone prepay plan. Mine is 1000 text per month & cost $10.75 per month tax & all.

I purchased these three cameras to test out.

LTL Acorn 12MP MMS Wireless Trail Camera, Camouflage

Covert Scouting Game Trail Camera Special OPS wireless tech

HCO SG580MB Blackout Invisible GSM Cellular Wireless Scouting Camera
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009QBFZP4/ref=oh_details_o07_s02_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I have three AT&T sim cards so I'll be able to test each out in the same conditions: great AT&T coverage area (hill tops, clear cuts, etc), average coverage area and single bar coverage area (bottoms, valleys, etc). I will test them out next week when I'm back in Georgia at my lease.

I'll post the reviews of them at the end of next week as I plan on shipping the two losers back to Amazon and getting more of the winning model.

I want to use them to know when hogs are at the feeders and they need to finish off their meals of corn with some buckshot ;-) I place a few feeders right about bends on the logging roads so I can get within buckshot range without disturbing them.

Here is a nice picture of some hogs getting a few loads of 3.5" 00 buckshot.

I have not been impressed with the HCO blackout night time pictures. I have the 562 and its night pics are much clearer. If you get an hco 562get an enhanced antenna for $10, it adds a fair amount of signal. Good cell service is essential to getting pics sent consistently.

I have 3 covert spec ops and they work flawlessly. Great pics great battery life. They will detect out past 80ft. They were a bit challenging to get initially setup and running. Fortunately Covert provides setup videos on their website which connected all the dots for me.

For a black flash SMS cam, I don't know of any better.

It appears like I have ATT coverage where I hunt. I've read that you need an ATT phone to set up one of these cameras. I'm with Verizon. Does anyone know?

Now I would have issues our AT&T members at the club have to stand on top of their four wheeler or in the back of their truck in the middle of our main road on top of a hill to get a signal. T mob does not have any service either.

Do they text you as soon as it takes a pic? I could see me using these to get a coonhound pup on hot coon. Is their a service fee? I already have at&t with unlimited texts.

Pictures send within a couple of minutes. If you already have at&t, i think you can add a line for the trail cam with unlimited text messages. I pay $10 a month for 1000 text messages through the at&t Go Phone plan (pay as you go). I dont have a phone with at&t, i just use the sim card.

My HCO has the external antenna and it picks up the signal better than the phones do.

I have the Covert Black Ops, make sure your AT&T rep knows what their doing before setting you up with a sim card.
