I'm wanting to plant some Mayhaws in the area I just had cleared. Anyone with experience with them?
Do they grow quickly? How long until fruit? Will deer leave them alone or do they need to be caged?
I'm looking at 30-50 seedlings. Should I buy "named varieties" or just seedlings off craigslist?
Any sources that aren't too expensive?
I planted a couple pears, 6 plums and will have 10+ crabapples and other apples. Looking for suggestions on "fruiting" trees for a flood plain (doesn't stay wet).
