I wouldn't wanna meet that thing on the trail ! Looks like it was injured pretty recently, maybe gored by a Deer ! I bet the Cat won!

I had a cat just like that one 15 feet from mein Wyoming a few years ago , it will make you shake a little bid when you look into their eyes that close .
