When are you cutting your field?

Just curious to see when everyone's gonna start cutting their field. I've got 6acres -/+ of millet, sunflowers and sorghum and put 2 strips in there last week. Lost of birds starting to show up.

Have you seen any birds hatched this year? None for me. Started silage chopping last week.

We usually don't cut and burn ours until 3-4 days before, it doesn't take them long to find it. We keep fresh dirt on the field throughout August

started mowing Aug 1. Millet planted at different dates. Will continue to and then burn a bunch week before the season. Surprising number of birds already. Easy come, easy go.
