Now this is the Spoakne river just before it dumps into the Columbia. This is looking up river to the east and incase you're wondering the fishings not to bad trout, silver salmon, smallmouth bass, and walleyes and some monster sized carp. Pretty hardcore fishermen out considering the temp was around 25 this morning even a few fishing from the bank. There's even a floating redneck trailer park :biggrin2::biggrin2:

This shot is Hawkcreek that also dumps into the Coumbia waters way down getting ready for spring run off. Later on they'll raise the Columbia back up and the creek will fill back up then you can launch a boat. I like to come down here now and then and fish for some trout in the 25" range for the smoker or you can try for the smallies and waleyes to stink up some grease. Hawkcreek starts above my place and runs thru it then gose about 10 mile to get here.

A little intertesting fact is you can boat the Columbia from the Candian border all the way down to Grand Coulee Dam ( about 100 miles or so).

Grand Coulee dam was built from the same plans as Hoover Dam except it came in under time and budget because they learned from their mistakes on Hoover.

Beautiful country out that way. Lots of good vantage points to overlook it all. Great shots Mike - it is a shame that there is no wildlife to enhance the views.:biggrin2:

Some mighty pretty country to wander about in, Mike. You did a great job getting those shots to show it off. One question, are those lawn ornaments self arranging.
