Planting all the usual garden veggies again this year. Haven’t thought about what I’ll plant in 2108 yet.

Tomato growers supply company

Usually order beefsteak varieties but this year going with hybrids for disease resistance. Still some beefsteaks though, Burpees Supersteak, Romas for canning, Tribute, Big Beef, Mountain Merit, Champion, Last few years ordered German Queens, Brandywines etc and their great but usually die in August due to disease. Hope some of these will last longer, some are determinate though so crop will come in and that's it.

I have my onions in the ground last weekend, another planting of collard plants a week before that. Potatoes will go in as soon as it’s dry enough. Scallions and garlic growing also. I have stuff to plant tomato seed but I usually just buy plants to get a head start.

Haven't planted yet. But will plant crooked neck squash, straight squash, zucchini, silver queen corn, sugar baby watermelon, cantaloupe, bush beans green beans, white half runners, sweet potatoes. I plant all these in seed from Baker Creek. I noticed Burpee is claiming NON GMO heirloom organic seed, so I might try them, as well.

I plant tomato plants instead of seed, but I do save seed from my Brandywines. I think I will only plant parks whoppers this year for canning tomatoes.

I am ready. I plowed a couple spots last Sunday, but its still too wet to plow most of my spots. I think I will plant a little earlier this year compared to previous years.

Have sugar peas and green beans of a few varieties along with Brussels sprouts all around 6 inches tall but still inside, thinking we will have more freezing weather for sure before planting outside.

I still wanna hold off some before planting my warm season stuff. I'm not convinced that ole man winter has gone away yet. Potatoes are in the ground. Looking to plant Silverqueen corn, zipper peas, straightneck squash, okra, contender snap beans, jalapenos, bell peppers, and beefsteak tomatoes. Might experiment with some butterbeans again this year. Might try some poot root (sweet potatoes) this year too. We'll see....

Tomato's, crookneck squash, zucchinis, okra, silver queen corn, bell peppers, cayenne peppers, jalapeno peppers, cucumbers and probably forgetting something.

I have cut way back the last few years. Chomping at the bit to get started this year and will when it dries up some. Still have okra stalks standing from last year.

Won't plant until after Easter though.

All of my stuff except squash, cucs, and watermelons are in the dirt. Those plants aren't quite big enuff yet. Planted so far, Silver queen, Okra, Cream 40's and White acre peas, 36 tomato plants, bell peppers, Jalapenos, banana, and Vid onions. Gonna be a great season I hope.

Brandywines are pretty good on a sandwich. And, mine have never gotten diseases. Clip those bottom suckers, and you should be good. To me, those Brandywines are tough plants. It takes a little while for them to turn red on the vine, but that has something to do with the heirloom variety and my soil.

Zero zip nada. Moving tomorrow to a temporary home. After that we build on some property we bought.

I hope once we settle in I can keep up with the good folks who have some awesome gardens that we see on the forum.

I will never leave food soil behind like I did last move.
