I hadn't caught a fish since before Christmas, and I was starting to lose it a little. But today turned it around. Not an epic day, but the first fish in a while.
Three weeks ago the water was just 52 degrees in the sound. A week and a half ago we measured temps up to 58 in the backs of the creeks. Today we found 64 in the main river and up to 67 back in the creeks! Trout were biting under popping corks in 5-6 feet of water off the shell beds up the South Brunswick.
