Soil test question

Got my results back from UGA. Results and recommendations from a couple of food plots have me scratching my head. Three plots highlighted below have similar pH #s but the lime recommendations don't seem to correlate well. Can anybody shed light on this?

Understand that. Example - recommendations call for far more lime (2.5 tons/acre) for "buzzard" plot where pH #s are higher (5.5 and 4.9) than lime (.75 tons/acre) for "RR" plot which has ph #s of (5.3 and 4.7).

I think I found the answer at http://extension.uga.edu/publications/detail.html?number=C874. This makes sense. From the article - "Soils with more organic matter and clay generally have higher LBC". This plot has more clay in it than any of our others. The weird thing is that this is one of our best producing plots.
