I lease 1200 acres in North Christian County. There are more birds there than you can imagine. That being said 2 of my landowners restrict the hunter access, which leaves me with a 40ac crop river bottom that I can put someone in to help thin these corn eating critters down some.
On one side is a wooded hill with huge oaks and the other side is the Tradewater River. The birds roost up on the hill and fly down into this field in the morning and can be called out of the woods all day long. There is no road frontage, only a deeded access down into the field through the woods.
I know 40ac doesn't seem like a lot, but when it is literally on the X, it doesn't matter. You're allowed 2 birds/man. It is a cakewalk.
I'll take $2000 for the season. It usually includes 4 weekends so you have plenty of time to get it done. You can do up to 4 hunters. As long as they aren't there all at once you won't be in the way.
