Mergansers seem to be plated in armor some times.

If it is a pet and not put away before a hunt it is a live decoy. You stated it in your video that it was a decoy just saying. It doesn’t bother me.

I've never heard of someone having a pet duck like that before, but I did explain that it was a joke in the video description. Maybe I'll add a annotation to help anyone wondering otherwise. Thanks

I know a guy who used 3 pet ducks until Mr. Greenjeans cleaned his wallet.

I spent my last day on a farm pond. Easy hunt and plenty of birds. Had my limit of summer ducks in about 20 minutes and then watched the show. Good end to an otherwise mediocre season.
