Lost his antlers or is he a button , or bad lighting in photo?

I've never seen a button head with that big of buttons

I say a young deer, compare the size of his body to the surrounding plants. It looks like privet so its small stuff. I think its just a button with big pedicles. Maybe its an indication of future mass?
