My childhood home is now a Tennis Court at a Jewish School.
But my Heart always lives in the Wild places I have been..all over the County.
There's a little bit of me at 9 Thousand feet just South of Gunnison Colorado and a bit more deep in the Everglades , Got another piece 30 miles South of Valdosta..

Sherman burned Atlanta 150 yrs too soon. The only thing I have to do with that place is changing airplanes at the Maynard Jackson Airport, or whatever yall are calling it now.
I am on a 4 year plan. Heading to west Georgia near Bama line. Buying a piece of property and building a house.

I had it made growing up in a little town on the big water and swamp country in northeastern NC. Didn't know it at the time. I don't know if I'd want to live back there again, because it's now a different place, but I enjoy going home to visit.

My family is Georgians going back to around 1750. Georgia red clay runs in my veins. The day I can walk away from the ATL money is the day I'll be headed to the West GA countryside for good.

ATL has been my home since I was 5 years old but they paved paradise and put up a parking lot and it sucks.

My family goes back to before the War of Independence in Georgia. I was born in Atlanta, but when I went to Atlanta, I got a good whiff of what I didn't want. Georgia will always be home, but not Lanter. But then, I must be a wanderer, because own dirt in three states and right now the forgotten coast is pulling my string the hardest.

It used to be a prosperous country. In the pre-Castro times, Cuban workers earned more than Canadians. A sizable population of European immigrants made commercial investments and started businesses and conducted trade. Of course, I doubt many of us are old enough to remember those times.

Yep, Hemingway and other wealthy folks didn't move there because it sucked. It used to be a tropical paradise, and had some of the better fishing in the world.
