Anyone hunt woodcock in SE Ga? Ive heard you can kill a few along the Altamaha river and some of the clear cuts on the wmas but never have tried. If theyre around Id like to give em a try but never hunted em before

I do. I assume you have a dog? Plenty when they migrate in the areas you speak of. Plenty of snipe too. Best when they drain the impoundments (for snipe).

I’ve killed plenty of snipe in February when they drain the impoundments. Just never any woodcock

Woodcock will be in the cut overs around Barrinton. Snipe too.
