Default will deer eat Barley

I was given some free barley seed, and i am thinking about putting them in my food plot behind my house. Will deer eat barley grass.

I've heard that deer and turkeys will eat it, but that it does not usually do well here in Ga. Worth a try if the seed was free. Hard to turn down a free seed unless it's thistle, johnson grass or sicklepod.

Yes, in Canada they use it. They spread the grains around the ground to make the deer work a little harder for it.
