Time in my shop
I had to take a little time off from making calls. The old mantle was an eyesore from day one in this house, I just never got around to replacing it. Well, now I had to because this is where I plan on placing my turkey mount once I get it back from the taxidermist. The new mantle is oak with east india rosewood accents. I am going to hand carve a elk scene for the surround starting next week. That will take a lot of time, so I am in no hurry.

It wont be scrollwork, I am going to carve the scene into a piece of walnut. Never carved before so this should be interesting

Very sharp Lee! Your calls will look great on it. Have you talked to our buddy Bryce lately...the boy leads and interesting life...to say the least.
