Yes. It is my only full day off so I try to get some hunting mixed in with whatever honey/daddy do's I got going on.
Will spend several Sunday's sunup to sundown in the woods though.

I have a Grandfather that is a pastor and probably the Greatest man I will ever know. But, he doesn't believe in hunting on Sunday. Like I told him, I feel a lot closer to God out in the woods than I ever have in a building.

I hunt any day I have a chance, and sundays are included. Remember we all have a limited number of get ups in our short time on earth and what better way to spend them.

People should be able to do what they want to do, no matter what day it is. If you want to go to church, go to church, if you want to hunt, go hunt.

Sure do and I was able to take my first deer with a bow last year on a Sunday. There was a lot of thanking God that day!

No------I did guide a visitor from New Mexico on a Sunday hunt and did not feel good doing it. He arrowed a deer the following day from one of my stands at the local airport.

My wife and I sing in the choir at the early and regular Sunday service plus Sunday evening service takes most of day.

Same for fishing on Sunday.

I hunt some on Sunday afternoons. Once or twice a season, I will hunt through an entire weekend. The rest of the time, I'm in church.

And before I get jumped on I feel if you give time to God or dont on Sunday Ive always said"if you can get by the good lord then its ok with me" thats what I tell folks at church when they come up and tell me they have been hunting on Sunday.

If you can hunt on Sunday fine do it. But keep this in mind the bible teaches me to keep it holy its the day we are supposed to worship God.

Always have and always will. Actually I believe that technically Saturday is the sabath day. I could be wrong, there is a first time for everything . I tend to find fewer hypocrites in the woods than I do in the Church. I hope not to offend anyone.

Default No I don't.

I am a Christian but not hunting on Sunday has little to do with that. My main reason is that my Dad instilled in me that hard work through the week, recreation when you can make the time and Sunday is for the family. Just how I was raised, I don't condemn anyone for hunting on Sunday or any other day. Heck I have played ball, watched racing, shopped, went to eat, work on my job and done alot of things on Sunday that had nothing to do with Church or religion. ONLY GOD and MYSELF know our relationship and I am greatful for what he has allowed me to do in my life. I love to hunt and fish and spend as much time as I can doing them. I usally turkey hunt 2 to 3 times a week during season and deer hunt just as much all season from opening of archery to closing of gun seasons, so you can see I hunt a lot. My work schedule just lets it happen and I still hold Sunday for the family. Well I guess when I think about it my relationship with God has really allowed me to be blessed. Good job that provides for my family, get to do what I love a lot--hunt and fish, and still hold one day a week for just family if I don't have to work that day. Man what a life.
Good luck this season, come on Sept. 3---Dove, Sept. 10 archery deer & bear.

No. Sunday is worship time for me and family time.

No matter how much I sugar coat it with phrases like "I'm communing with God" and "I'm in His creation", it still boils down to me doing something that I want to do and trying to justify it.

Hasn't affected my harvest in the least. See and kill enough deer on Saturdays.

That is a personal decision between a person and God based on their belief. I have mine and every one else has theirs.

Your grandfather sounds like a good person. I think if someone does not want to hunt on Sunday then they have every right not to. But I also think that if someone wants to hunt on Sunday then it is also their decision, not others.
