I think bow is the second Saturday in Sept.

After we added the muzzle loader season,it usually falls on the second weekend of the september month yes,but with all the changes they are trying to do,it might fall back to the week after again....

As I understand it:
Bow season always opens the 2nd Saturday in Sept.
Rifle always opens the 3rd Saturday in Oct.

You can also see post #5.I called them,it is public knowledge.DNR is very courteous and helpful,they don't mind talking to you and answering questions.Sometimes the old fashioned telephone,provides you with more knowledge.

(Summary) Deer Season
Archery, Either Sex: September 12 - October 09
Extended Archery, Either Sex: January 2-31
Only for Clayton, Cobb,Dekalb, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett & Rockdale counties
Primitive Weapons, Either Sex: October 10-16
Firearms: Northern Zone*: October 17 - January 1
Southern Zone: October 17 - January 15
Limits: 12 per season, Statewide
No more than 10 may be antlerless and no more than 2 may be antlered.
One (1) of the 2 antlered deer must have at least 4 points, one inch or longer, on one side of the antlers.
