Talking Fished Flat Creek this afternoon

Me and my daughter hit the lake today. We fished from the bank just to see what the turn out would be. It was crowded that is for sure. We caught about 4 catfish 2lb in size, and I caught 5 bass ranging from 8" to about 14". Had a great time, now its time to take the boat. There are more opportunities from the boat. Remember Saturday is FREE DAY so be prepared for that place to be packed. Hope to try again Sunday.

I know it will be crowded but I think I may take my kayak out tomorrow for a few hours.

I was there also. Were you fishing from the dam? If so I walked right passed you. I took home a mess of brim and let go around ten bass, largest about 13".

Crowded is an understatement

I rode thru after work about 5 or so, and judging from the trailers in the lot, there must have been at least a boat for every 2 acres. But must have been plenty of room, because the lake didn't look that over crowded. Big crowd there for sure with all the folks on the bank too.

I am off all summer so I will be hitting it during the week to stay away from the crowd. I love being a teacher!

Also, the Sportsman's license has the management stamp in there, right?

Thanks

Went out there for a while this morning, man was it packed! You pretty much had a 10 yard wide "lane" to fish before you were crossing lines with the guys next to you. There were several full size bass boats out there and a few john boats as well. I was considering hitting it early Monday morning as well, just to try to miss the crowds.

You must have a WMA stamp and a regular fishing licence.
