Default What Type Military Ammo is This???

I was bored and decided to do an ammo inventory and found this box packed away. Seems like someone gave 'em to me way back. Anyone out there able to ID them other than that they were packed in 1943??. And is there any significance to the black tips? There are 14 in the box and some have rust. Just curious if they are a common round or maybe something collectible. Thanks!

Can you show a side view of the whole cartridge?

Practice tracer.
Saw tons of the stuff when I was stationed in W.Germany.
Yep, back when there was a wall...........

Collector value is all over the board. A complete unopened and undamaged box being most sought after by collectors.

That's what the Kar98 fired. That was one of their primary infantry rifles in WW2.
