Default Purple Power!

We just finished this one up for a nice lady with the Appling Archers. I think it will be her first stick bow ever! It's all purple heart with maple cores, 58", 32# @ 25".

Oh My Goodness, what a beautiful bow!!!!!! The purple heart is really really nice....I must remember that wood!!!! The lady must be a very special and lucky one to receive that lovely bow!!!!! Now some pretty purple fletched arrows to go along with it would be just the right touch!!!!

Im with longbow Dave...i like the looks but it is hard to work with for me. So dang hard i end up burning it instead of sanding it..

U did an awsome job!!

mudfeather,

i found that when i'm sanding pupleheart it's important to have fresh sanding sheets and drums and use as little pressure as posible during any sanding, and i finish up with 400 grit. i have had those purple burn marks until i figured it out.

Thanks for all the compliments.Mudfeather and Longbow dave are right about purple heart it is a pain to work but if you use fresh sandpaper and work slow it turns out nice.
