I need some help....I've just received this gun from my mother in law..It was her husbands' however he has had many strokes, and she wants to get it in working order, and cleaned for my son....

First, the trigger guard is broke..I notice thats a cast made piece....I've looked every where for a replacement piece..It has two screw forward and aft..

Other than than it seems to be in working order...There is some spots that has signifigant rust on the barrel...What should I do with this? Just clean it and put it the case? Should I have it reblued? I know nothing of trying to restore a gun...

Also, my grandaddy past to me a same year model Stevens 12 gauge single shot shotgun...I've shot it numerous time, it shoots good...Should I have this reblued?

I'll never sell them, I just want to hand them down as well...Any advice?

You might try gunparts.com if they are still around. If not pick up a shotgun news, they always have ads for parts warehouses.
