Default Kids can hunt with a rifle during Primitive weapons season

I saw this on another forum...it may be old news??

The kids get a week head start on opening day of deer season.

"In an effort to encourage youth participation in hunting and enhance youth hunting opportunities, the Georgia General Assembly passed SB 474. This legislation included language that establishes a special youth hunting opportunity that allows youth under 16 years of age to hunt deer during the primitive weapons season with any firearm legal for hunting deer. This includes primitive weapons hunts on wildlife management areas."

From page 8 of the hunting regulations.

Accordding to the 2010-2011 rules and Regs book, page 16, :
Oct 9-15, Primitive Weapons Season; Youth under 16 may hunt deer with any legal firearm during primitive weapons deer hunts and seasons.

Archery Season was defined as 9.11 through 10.8.2010 with no mention of youth using firearms.

Here are links to the book I have, look on page 16.
