Who's going hunting in the snow ?

Ain't got much work but it don't look like I'll be hanging gutters tomorrow anyways. Guess I'll be hunting these city deer. I hate a cold rain so if it stays frozen, I'm going.
May not need my trail dog. Hopefully I'll turn the snow red !

I hunted water oaks this afternoon, had a 6 point walk right under me and a UFO came by at climb down time.
They were moving in preparation for the weather. We've got about 2 in so far ? I'm on the Henry/Dekalb line. How about y'all ????

Seriously considering going tomorrow. I'm in Forsyth County. We have about 2 inches as well. It started snowing here around 10:30

Its a little over 2" now. Getting up to the rim on my sons car. Cant wait to turn it red.

You got any snow camo Lee? I don't and would stick out like a sore thumb! The deer would be giggling at me as they passed by me at 40 yds!

If I can get over to my area, yes. Most likely after all the roads have cleared...a dead deer and no way to get to the Processor wouldn't be good (which is even further North).

The snow will be around a few days...we got time.

Streets were bad here. I wimped out and stayed by the heater.

Looks like its going to be here for several days. The woods ain't melting, even the streets are refreezing.

I ain't missed it !

The snows got anything eatable on the ground covered up. I'm betting on privet hedge to fill a tag. What you guys think ?

Is anyone seeing any movement at all. I hunt close to home and went shooting yesterday around the land i hunt and never seen the first track. And i know deer visit this land more often than not. I didnt even see a rabbit or squrial just birds.

Moved around 8:30 -10:30 am in Paulding. I scouted some WMA woods near my house (walking distance) since season is out. Nothing like snow to pattern late season trails and food sources. Found many tracks near big rocks covered in honey suckle vines, also beding ares in thick cover near creeks eating anything within reach that was green. I walked in around 8 and when I walked out around 10:45 there was a fresh trail crossing my foot prints where I walked in.

I went this evening. Seen 5-6 pigs and 4 does. All between 11-4. They were bedded down earl today since the wind was so bad. May go tommorow, not sure If I want to brave the 15mph winds.

I hunted this afternoon. It was windy and cold. I got the cards from my trail cams and didn't see any fresh tracks in the snow. I did see a few tracks in the back of the property near the privet hedge thickets. On stand I saw 2 deer. A doe was being pushed around by a small buck. She didn't come close enough. They were by those tracks. Should've set up there. Got home and checked the cards. Got that buck I've been chasing just before the snow. (Left center, going away.) He was going from the front to the privet thickets in the back of the property. Just after I was coming out a different trail. Hes slick, only moving after shooting hrs. Nothing different about that though.

Every year near the end of the season we pull off a few deer drives. It really screws up the property. Basically runs everything off. It's not fit to stand hunt after that. We usually get a shot at a good one on the first day. (65% chance) After that it goes down hill, by the 3rd dive, no sightings. Theres a long recovery time so I'm waiting to the last week. I'll stand hunt until then but that may be my only hope.

We went for a little while had a trespasser come in on us, screwed us both up. It looked like he had a rifle there for a second it put me on key for a little bit.

The've been in my yard eating anything green they could find. I was watching BCS pregame sitting in my living room chair and a 6pt walked right in front of the window. Guess he likes football too!

Saw 6 yesterday morning in Fulton before 9am, one small buck and 5 does. Should've turned the snow red but I was waiting on one that didn't show! They are definately in the thick stuff browsing.

Bowanna, shot some pre video and recovery. Need to get set up for next season to get all of the hunt on video.

went back this am for some blood on my back up bow the Q2 - saw nothing.
