Shooting Bench Rest

I don't know if anyone has any interest in building a shooting rest, but we needed one at our club and after doing an internet search saw one I had seen in a turkey video. The plans are free, so I downloaded them and my son and I built it in about 5 hours for only $70 with pressure treated lumber. I would highly recommend if anyone is interested. We substituted 4x4's for the 6x6's which are PLENTY heavy. The plans can be found at: http://www.horstguns.com/ShootingBench.htm

A couple club members built this model a couple years ago on our range. Works great

Put the finishing touches on it and round over the sharp edges with a router bit...

My son actually did that,.... ran around the edges with a 3/8 inch quarter round around the top and the seats. He's working on routing a logo of our hunting club on the 1st board. :flag:

I actually put an old table umbrella through the bench to provide some shape from the hot sun.
They also, used a router to round off the edges
