Amazon re-positioning their business as to avoid being turned into tax collectors. Is this a Christian organization? Matters not.

Obviously they are as the author suggest

"The leviathan, with tentacles of steel clutching into the soil, the soulless Force, the iron-hearted Power, the monster, the Colossus, the Octopus."
Shameful I tell ya.

"In fact, it's hard to imagine anything more outrageous than a company this successful attempting to buy its way out of the minimal obligations of corporate citizenship."

Said with a straight face in regard to California's crippling state taxes.

Bravo.

That right there is as concise a synopsis of the collectivist mindset as I have ever seen.

Amazon exercises its' right of tax avoidance in favor of its' shareholders (many of whom live in CA) and it is E-Vile.

I just loved this article by this simpering wimp mouth breather.

CA can fall into the Pacific just as soon as we get the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines out of there. Building new bases on the new Nevada coast will be a huge economic boon to the country.

If I lived in CA, I would buy everything possible off of Amazon.com to avoid the sales tax and show them my support. Do you think they sell milk and eggs yet?

Amazon does not owe any sales tax, it would be the customer's tax not the company's. The state wants to force the company to collect taxes for the state. I am forced to collect sales taxes from my customers and file a return for them monthly like most buisnesses and I have no love for the tax man. Anytime you don't have to hand over more money to the government to waste is a good time.

NC has been doing the same freak-out about Amazon and sales taxes lately. That bunch of crooks in Raleigh had their panties all in a wad and were swooning and having palpitations thinking about all that extra money they could be wasting or misappropriating. Amazon wouldn't cave, so they just raised the gas tax again. Made me determined to buy more stuff from Amazon.

Why just amazon? Are they the only online vendor that sells to california residents? And why does the supreme court ruling not matter? We all know the obvious answer, its about the money.

Governments, very much like people, will do mean, stupid, unethical and downright evil things for money.
