We went today and had a ball. There's a lot for the kids to do, and seeing all of those big bucks will get you fired up.

Actually I thought it would be a lot larger, but there was good displays and good equipment.

Buckrama 10 times better and alot more going on. The Blast is 1/4 of the size and no where near the same amount of stuff. I give it a 8 and that's only because it wasn't as far to drive

I was interested in going but will not drive that distance and pay for the family to get in without seeing a list of exhibitors first. I have looked all over GON for a list and can't find it. Someone send me a link please if you find it. Otherwise, it is poor promoting to have such a show and not publish a complete list of the exhibits.

Quit going to both. Both are major disappointments. Just as good as going to bass pro to see and get what you want and I can go there any time.

Thanks, that answers my question and the reason I wanted to see a list.

I thought the same thing and they did not even list the address.

I always enjoy it, sorta gets me in the mood for the season to kick off. We bought a few T-shirts and several other novelty items.

I drove down from SC, got in around 9:30-9:40 had the whole thing covered in a hour. Thats including stopping to talk with two vendors. Went across the interstate and shook hands with Michael Waddell, Eddie Salter, Oneil Williams at Bass Pro Shops.

I enjoyed it today with the family. A few good things for the kids...met a few members...put it for a free drawing or two...met Godwin...all in all...good event. Saw the semifinals for the truck buck too. Some two guys just didn't miss and went 6 rounds before one of them finally missed the egg.

Took my family yesterday and had a great time. 4 yr old got his face painted. Purchased a few things that were less expensive than if I'd purchased them elsewhere.

Just fun IMO to walk around looking at hunting stuff thinking about how close the season is. Get's the blood flowing.

Default Re: Outdoor Blast?

I thought the Outdoor Blast was pretty good. Grandson met Godwin from Duck Dynasty and we enjoyed seeing all the nice shoot-out bucks from last year on display as well as the many nice bucks people brought to have scored at the scoring booth. Watched the first few elimination rounds of the shoot-out and picked up a few unique hunting items as well as some really cheap/discounted camo clothing. Good crowd, but not so big that you couldn't move around easily and talk with the vendors about their products.

It was better than the last one I went to in Macon, but I miss the Buckarama shows of the 90s ,when you could actually buy hunting gear and get decent prices.

Got spolied by the Blast. Won't go back to another Buckarama. The Outdoor Blast had a ton of archery vendors. Git Under Armour huntin boots for $50. Tons of cheap Camo!
