All targets will be speices native to GA. Most shots will be from ground blind or elevated platform. All will be realistic hunting shoots.
35 yd max

I am thinking about some sort of "Ironman" novelty shot. Maybe $3 to enter, winner gets a tree stand...something along those lines...what you'll think?

Yes slider style sights are allowed, just no magnification.
You can move it during the shoot, we will not limit that nor will we tell anyone how many pins to have or what yardage they can be set at.

Remeber this is a bowhunter shoot, please bring your hunting set up and lets all have a great time.

So does wood on wood for trad mean that if I shot carbon or aluminum arrows, out of a wood bow, I'd still be in modern recurve?

Soil is pretty sandy at the Fort, so unless it rains buckets the day before or same day, it will generally be drained down with no huge puddles or sloppy areas. Snake boots are your call, although they may provide as much protection from poison ivy as from snakes.

Don't know exactly how "clean" the lanes will be. They have lots of land to use, so the targets may be in an area I haven't seen yet this year.

The main walking lane is a sand road, it is not to bad, so aslong as we dont get much rain between now and then it will be okay.
From the road to the targets there are no lanes, we cleared the shooting obstacles but left it as undisturbed as possible.
There are some shots down into low ground.
I would recommend bringing boots and then you can decide when you get there.

You are correct, it looks like there will be well over $2000 worth of prizes for the archers that place, the novelty shots, and door prizes.
