My new DIY underwater green fishing lights

I have been dying to build these and finally got the time and the money. They came out pretty nice. Really bright and I am looking forward to putting them to use to catch some crappie at night. Pretty easy build and not too expensive. Got about 35$ in each light. They are 2 ft long.

I am a little gun shy about actually submerging them. I sealed everything with E6000 but I was thinking about another coat on the ends of something...

Flex seal?

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Is it possible to remove the LED's/electric bits, and just test the housings by themselves?

Flexseal did turn that car into a submarine. TV infomercials don't lie! :bounce:

I did mine with regular silicone RTV between the end caps and the cylinder, and then again over the locking nut, and I've had no issues with water-tightness.

3M 5200 versus E6000; and then forget about it.

I may just try the silicone but I was imagining some kind of dip or spray. Lol, them infomercials sure don't lie, do they?

I built some and just wrapped the LED strip around 1.5 " pvc pipe.
No cover. The LED is waterproof.
Used them many times, no problem.
Don't have to weight them down.
The LEDs were $10 on Azon

Did you just waterproof the connections?
