Default Lanier - Feb 12th - Finally made it out

Finally got the boat in the water for the first time in 2017. My good buddy, King, had no problem with the possible rain, and we didn't see the first drop. Medium shiners 50-65 feet behind the boat on freelines worked best, with a couple of spots coming off of 15 foot downlines.

King got big fish of the day with a 14 Lb striper. Good first day out.

Nice! The stripers were eating good in my area (Bald Ridge-ish) yesterday, but it was pretty much all bass today. A fine day to be on the water!

With all this warm weather the striper fishing has been great. I took my son and wife out yesterday evening and did pretty good also. Same story all over the lake. Medium shiners.
