A couple fatties

Had to give myself a break from hunting over the weekend and decided to hit one of my favorite rainbow holes. This stretch of river is only fishable between October and May because its managed for irrigation. When they drop the water in October though, the fatties hole up for the winter. They normally only see spinners and night crawlers from the locals, so when they see a small red midge drift by they don't hesitate to eat!

Just using my cabelas RLS 5wt. I generally drift a nymph under an indicator at this spot, unless I see some sipping action that will warrant a Griffiths gnat being tied on. Been wanting to try a crawfish pattern streamer as well, there are tons that live in these waters.
