"Wisdom of the Crowd" - today's technology works pretty good in this direction. Congrats on getting your boat back.
Now if someone can catch the jerks in the act.....that would be gravy.

Glad this thread had a happy ending!

Assuming you contacted Law Enforcement, did they have anything helpful to say?

Law enforcement actually doesn't think investigating things like this are important enough to waste their time on. Got to get back to the expressway to write more speeding tickets you know. No money in investigating recovered property.

Been there -

Me too, that's why I asked. When I was in college, literally every house on our block got broken in to, some of them twice. Barney Fife and Co. barely even showed interest in stopping it from happening. That's a hard lesson to learn when someone tosses your house and steals pretty much everything of value. Them's the breaks, I guess.

Getting your boat back is reward enough. Join the Lake Lanier Boaters Group on Facebook. The members there are responsible for locating your boat.

I will be fishing on Lanier in the next couple of weeks. If I see your boat, I'll stop and say hi.

This speaks for a lot of us. Thankful you've recovered it and hopeful the responsible (irresponsible!) parties have to pay for it.

Yep the good guys still outnumber the bad guys. That is hard to tell sometimes, especially when you have just dealt with a bad guy.

Glad you got your boat back, sorry about the damages. Drop back by and visit with us any time.

That's outstanding! Glad you got it back, but sorry for the damage. Great job networking everyone and rising to the call for help! Now to catch the dirt bags! Couple hours staked over a fire ant mound should do it...a little southern justice.

How about those wedding dress ski pics...

As promised! and I also promise to not CensoredCensoredCensoredCensored you guys off skiing out there this summer; you all are AMAZING!

Law enforcement did nothing; didn’t figure they would, but I will be pulling it out tomorrow till the new dock (with lifts and locks) is in place. Seriously cannot say THANK YOU enough! Anyone up in wahoo during the day tomorrow?! I’ll bring brewskies (and a lil’ liquid apple pie) down, best time to celebrate is when I don’t have to watch the kiddos on the party dock! I’m serious to anyone that wants to grab a few tomorrow, I’m buyin’!!

I know this wouldn't help if you aren't home but if you live close... https://www.northerntool.com/shop/to..._content=43832

Put the motion detector in the bottom of something for bait and lay it in the driver seat or something "too good" to pass up. Then when they pick it up the alarm in the house will ring but it won't be ringing all night with the boat rocking or things moving around the boat.
