1st day of early goose

Ok it's a 2 day season geese only. Temp started at around 50 but we did have some rain last night.

Started at a lake fairly close to home but the geese didn't cooperate Noda nutin 0 for geese but I got a few pics anyways. It was a bust for geese but heck it beat sittin at home. Give me a few minutes to load and tell the story of the day.

Man had it been ducks also I'd of probably run out of shells. Teal, Mallards and more coots then you can think of. Sure was a pretty day and birds flying by

Can we say the poor pup dawg was havin a hard time with dad not shootin at all these ducks flying by???

But got to say other then Chase wanted to cuss me out for letting everything go by the old guy looked good ( turned 8 this year)


I'm sure I heard many times "What the Heck dad they was right there???"

Did see some hawks and got a few shots of them

Must have been about 10 or so and we drove to a different pond, sorry didn't get any pics but it will be where I'm headed early tomorrow. 5 geese got up off the pond swung around but just didn't quite get close enough for a shot, but on the way in I saw some muleys so when we left I swung around and sure enough they were still there so snapped a few of them.

Something about the last pond made Chase just have to go out and swim guess it just felt good temp had warmed up.

He crashed on the seat all the way home and after he got done tellin ma what agood time he had and she left for work it was " LIGHTS OUT"

Well that's it for today. We'll see what happens tomorrow but it sure beat sittin at home.

Glad I always got this shot of Chase and his 1st retrieve at 5 months

Boy how time has flown by but he's still just as happy now as he was then maybe just a bit smarter
