2009 Georgia Waterfowler Shin-Dig & Mudboat Decoy Hunt. This is a non-profit event with details below, everyone's invited!! See you there.
LOCATION: LAKE SEMINOLE- BIG JIMS CAMPGROUND

PURPOSE: YOUTH "FIRST DUCK" PROGRAM FUND RAISER AND SOCIAL GATHERING.
ACTIVITIES: LUNCH, DECOY HUNT CONTEST (MUDBOATS), FUND RAISER AUCTION/RAFFLE, AND SOCIAL DINNER AT BIG JIMS OYSTER BAR.

10:00- MEET & GREET/ POKER RUN RULES SHEET HANDOUT/ GETTING NON BOATERS PAIRED/ ETC
10:30- RULES BRIEFING
11:00- BOAT LAUNCHING
11:30-12:30- LUNCH AT BIG JIMS CAMPGROUND (WE WILL FURNISH HOT DOGS, HAMBURGERS AND NON ALCOHOLIC DRINKS).
12:30- POKER RUN (DECOY GRAB) STARTS
3:30- MEET BACK AT BIG JIMS FOR DRAWINGS AND WINNER ANNOUNCEMENTS.
4:00- 6:30- PLAYTIME ON THE LAKE (TRAIL RIDES)
7:00 GROUP DINNER AT BIG JIMS (SEAFOOD OYSTER BAR AT BOAT RAMP)

THANKS FELLAS, I LOOK FORWARD TO GETTING OUR ANNUAL SHIN-DIGS BACK UNDER WAY. IT'S BEEN A FEW YEARS OVERDUE.
There will be 2 dozen decoys set out in a prescribed area. It will be alot like scouting, except your looking for a duck decoy in a haystack.
Random decoys will be marked.
If you find the selected decoys, you will win a nice prize.
It's like a duck hunter's easter egg hunt. Except in stead of candy, your getting some high dollar paraphanalia.
It should be a blast.
We will also do a deck of cards (52 total) for a general raffle. This general raffle package will be awesome. We plan on giving away 30-40 items out of a 52 card deck. That's good odd's folks.
We will also have a few items on a silent auction table.
This should be a good time guys. Come support our youth program and have a dang good time doing it!
Everyone who has a mudboat, if your like me, likes to run them with your buddies. It's just fun! When you add the decoy hunt into it, what more could you ask for.
I encourage everyone that is coming to stay saturday night. We will all eat dinner at Big Jim's saturday night and fellowship around the round table....if you plan on drinking that night, i ask you to be responsible and sleep it off. Let's all have a dang fine time, but set a good example in the process.
And lastly, make sure you bring a few 10's and 20's for the raffles. Our main purpose is to underwrite 100% of our youth program for this next year. Im sure it will be done. It just takes a little from everyone to make a big impact.
