24 volt trolling battery

You can use a 2 bank charger, charge each 12 volt battery. If you don’t have a 2 bank charger just charge each battery individually

Seems like he could use a 2 bank 12V and hook up both leads . Just saw the other day the new Lowrance TM has a switch that can take it from 24V to 36V , depending on how many batteries you want to use .
That would still only be 12 volt output from a 12 volt charger.

Other than just having one battery. What is the advantage of a 24 volt battery? Seems like it would be less hrs than 2 12 volt and more expensive. Please ejumacate me.

I just bought a small riverboat and it has big,new battery for the trolling motor.
I think I misread it as 24 volt,but that is the battery class,not the voltage.

Ah, you had me intrigued with a 24 volt battery. Have fun in the new boat.
Me too. If that thing had any amp hours it would way 120# plus. Which is why 24 volt systems use two 12 volts, I would imagine.
