Over the years, my neighbor's son has seen me pulling my boat into the back yard. Over the last several years as he's gotten older, I've been asking if he's ready for me to take him and his dad out fishing. This summer he finally said yes!!
So this morning, I got to take Paul and his dad on their first fishing trip together. Paul got to battle in his first catfish and first spotted bass ever. He had fun checking on his catfish in the cooler and was quite the deck hand by the end of the trip netting me shiners when needed.
Needless to say, he's looking forward his catfish dinner this evening.
Always the most fun watching a kid's first catch for sure!!
