A measure in the FL legislature would ban greyhound racing in 2020. Supposedly there are around 15,000 dogs being raced. So if the anti measure is successful. What happens to the 15,000 dogs in 2020? Because we know they will be retired to live out their lives on the greyhound farm.

But hey, they are against it, pass a law. Consequences be darned. The havoc it creates for the humans involved be darned. Pass a law. Have to save the greyhounds. Which wouldn't exist if not for racing. Pass a law.

Activist running rescue shelter for greyhounds.

Knew some rescued hounds and they really do like to run. Sweet dogs and fun to play with, as long as you had plenty of energy. Still not sure what can be done with 15,000 dumped on the rescue market at once. Plus all the handlers, tracks and employees on the market at the same time.
