Any diesel mechanics here?

I got a price on replacing the injection pump and lift pump on my 2001 Dodge Cummins. I'm thinking about just buying another truck. Could someone tell me about what it should cost.

Not a mechanic, but that's a couple few grand.

Unless yiu have half a million miles I'd fix it and rock on a while

the injection pump cost is over a grand, lift pump a hundred or better, and then the labor.

You figure it up, it costs a bunch. If it hasn't had the dowel pin fix, you better plan on doing that too, while you are that far into it.

I'd fix it too. You can replace a whole lotta pumps for the cost of a new truck.
