Anyone spotted a Bald Eagle at Hollis Q Lathem?

Yup, I saw that Bald eagle Saturday while I was there.

Thanks for the confirmation Spkoli....I knew it was a BE. We have been fishing that lake since it opened and never seen any there. Lived in Cherokee county for over 40 years and that is the first one I have seen in the county. I have seen them at Lanier, and on the Etowah river in Rome; they are truly a magnificent bird, glad they are making a come back!

I did see the bald eagle today at Hollis Lathem. It made an attempt on some bass feeding on topwater at the head of the cove where the big clubhouse is, Tried to get photo but to far away also did se an osprey.

I saw that Bald Eagle at Hollis Lathem a few weeks ago. I've seen then before from a distance on Lanier and Oconee, but this one glided over about 30 feet up. It was a spectacular sight.

It is a trolling motor only lake, no boats with outboard engines allowed

Can you have an outboard if you keep it out of the water?

No "internal combustion engine or power plant" on the water craft.

I see them around almost every large body of water I've fished for the last decade or so.

I'm with you. Have also seen them on a lot of good sized ponds as well. They're getting like cormorants eating up all of the fish.
