So are there standard rules for competition shoots?
Like the use of range finders? Draw weights or sight types, number of pins? Releases?

Is there a web site that shows all up coming shoots?

I used to shoot for hunting and fun, haven't shot in 20+ years, was thinking it may be fun to get a new bow and do a few competitions. The 3D stuff was just starting back then and I never looked into competitions.

ASA website is good starting point. For the most part all of the postings you’ll find on this forum for local shoots follow their rules. Asa website has all of the pro/am dates and location info. To shoot in those you’ll need to pick a class that is going to be the best fit for you. I’ll save my time and yours and skip explaining all of that but there is literally a class for everyone.
