Attracting Catfish

It’s amazing how good they fight on bass tackle , I’m guessing he went 10-12 lb , is this a channel cat ?

I’ll bet,looks like one,I was on the Manistee river 2yrs ago after kitties with crawlers on a dual hook set up,got a huge Brown,jumped 6 times,busted my 6 pound test,no way to get a pic,had my Nikon,she had to be at least 28 in,fought like crazy,bass rod,,,,

Little too big to eat but nice eat'in at about 2 lbs

I have a pretty good population of catfish in my cove at Sinclair but what are some good ways to get more In the area to catch ? I put out floating food when I'm at the dock now .

Boil birdseed or feedcorn and chum it in 5 gallon amounts. Chum this or chum with meat or use a dock block.

The cheese bait I use to bait my baskets would work very well and wouldn't take much to do the trick !
