I took my old 1994 Chevy Astro to the dealership about one month ago because the engine belts were squeeking up a storm.

The dealership replaced all of the belts.....problem solved.
3 days later the squeeking started up again and got progressively WORSE :(

I took it BACK to the dealership and just received a call from the service manager informing me it needs a "serpintine belt tensioner" and of course they want to charge me

I questioned why they didn't change this "tensioner" when the belts were replaced....he couldn't give me an answer ::huh:

AM I BEING RIPPED OFF :whip:

only real argument is labor charge and that now without van again ....but, .they missed the tensioner, period.
haggle for most the labor to be taken off.
