Bass Identification

Hi All,

So I was fishing up in the North GA mountains this weekend and got the bass below. The water temp was 65F, and I had caught a LM and then a spot, and then this one. I thought it was going to be my first GA smallie, but the color is way off.

Any thoughts?

Thx,

Ben

Awesome fish!

Looks like a shoalie to me, or maybe a spot + something hybrid. Doesn't have the deep body of a smallie.

Not a smallmouth. It's a spot or a spot hybrid.

It's just a plain ole spot.

Thanks for all the feedback! I'm happy to see there there was some variation in the answers to confirm I wasn't crazy. Looks like I'll go with some spot / spot hybrid. It definitely had the mouth of a spot/smallie type.

Wish it had better color, thing that would help identifying it, at the moment it's just 'do nothing green'
