beetles are destroying my brassicas

Checked the brassica plot this weekend and noticed several areas that were down to nothing but lacy leaves. First thought was army worms but on close inspection it turned out to be some little beetles. Dang critters are having a banquet. Time to get out the herbicides!
And it's so dry I'm still sitting on most of my seeds. No rain in sight, only one brief shower in the past 4 weeks.

Tough luck on the brassica's Sandra, and like you, I am sitting on more than enough seed and fertilizer to plant 5 acres...I just keep saying to myself that I will try again next weekend.
